The Antonius Players have delighted audiences all over the UK and abroad with their unique blend of poetry, music and banter. They have had a run of sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and amongst many others, the Hay-on-Wye Literature Festival. Edinburgh Fringe Festival

The Antonius Players originally started as a flute trio but they have proved their musical versatility by introducing other instruments and musicians using their own arrangements. They combine two, three or more musicians to cater for individual requirements and to suit each programme. They have also had a successful collaboration with the author Louis de Bernieres.

There are three shows currently touring around the country:

A Roll in the Hay, a celebration of the countryside through music and words with actress Sunny Ormonde, better known as Lilian Bellamy in the hit Radio 4 programme ‘The Archers’.

Larkin' About, a programme based on the poetry and prose of Philip Larkin set to music. Featuring the actor John Telfer (Reverend Alan Franks in 'The Archers') as well as Sunny Ormonde. Directed by Sue Wilson.

A Wand’ring Minstrel I, a unique take on the life of travelling musicians and their adventures!
