Home The Players Music / Poetry Programmes Concerts Reviews
The Antonius Players have been working with the author Louis de Bernières since 2002. In collaboration, they have delighted audiences all over the UK and abroad with their unique blend of poetry and music. They have had a run of sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and at the Hay-on-Wye Literature Festival. Edinburgh Fringe Festival

The Antonius Players originally started as a flute trio and although the flute still remains central to their performances, they have proved their musical versatility by introducing other instruments using their own arrangements.

Louis has become a central member of the group now, and adds his mandolin, guitar (and woodwind!) skills. He also includes his own poetry and translations of foreign literary works, when these fit the programme. The latest programme is based around Louis' most recent novel 'A Partisan's Daughter' - click here for more information.
